What kind of oscar is this? Was told as SB araguaia

The term Araguaia would suggest its river of ancestral origin, not really a separate type, or species.
It may suggest that it is wild caught, in the Rio Aruguaia in southern Brazil.
Just for reference the rivers average pH is about 5, and has very low conductivity (almost as mineral free as RO),
and if "wild caught" , may need special water parameter cosiderations to remain healthy

Definitely has the color of a wc oscar back in the late 70's and 80's

Yes they are indeed ShortBody
They grew so fast they are bigger than my regular
