What kind of Parachromis is it really?

I'm going to have to believe J Rapps on this one and go with Loisellei. It's a gorgeous fish with a kick-a*s personality. He'll grow up and then I may stand corrected but that I'm happy with the fish is the most important thing and that I am 100%. Unfortunately my pictures don't do him justice and show nothing of his personality.

if you really want a correct id, email jeff, and the pic of the fish, there may be a chance it was misslabled when it was caught. i'm not sure of exact locals of those wild fish, but if they are all nicaragues like i expect then they should have been collect all in the same general area, so it could be miss identified.

Guarentee he says it's what he sold it as. I don't think he would send out a fish as something if he didn't think it was that fish. People can make mistakes but to not send a loiselli when that's what was ordered he would have had to have been blind folded when bagging/shipping the fish or some other accident happened.

I think it's a loiselli, but just me.

Jeff is the one who sent me the fish. I talked to him and he personally bagged my entire fish order. I would feel silly to email him and say he might have made a mistake. I got a Motaguense also and they look completely different. It was never a question of him being a Mota...I got confused and thought maybe it could be a Freddy after all the differing opinions.

Jeff knows his fish and if he were to make a mistake then it was a mistake without him knowing any better. Especially on something as arguable as this.

I agree.If you bought it from a chain store you might have a reason for doubt due to incompentent staff,but when you buy from a hardcore enthusiest it,s unlikely there is a mistake.
