That’s funny when I was looking to get my one there was a lot of them with bill noses (in the UK)for sale I had to bide my time to fined my one. Must be something to do with inbreeding.

ya i never seen them that look like that. crazy, anyway ya its a tsn. i feed mine that size pellots and guppys on special days

yeah maybe but if they feel confined or can't freely move there barbell's they panic and smash about the tank , it could have broke it's beek mate..

Yup thats a TSN, I had one that didnt eat an died, try any frozen food thatll sink near him (krill, plankton, bloodworms).

My current TSN started off eating feeder comets, then I moved him to Hikari carnivore pellets, now he'll eat anythiung from shrimp pellets, krill, bloodworms, but mostly I feed him pieces of Tilapia Fillet.

Yehaa!! :clap :clap

My TSN ate something. I bought some feeders for him to day and "swup". Maybe he'l survive afther all :woot:. I gonna try to get him to eat some frozen food and pellets later.

Ps. It's not my fish who has the funny nose.

It looked that way when I got it. Actually it's not mine, I'm just keeping it for a friend. I would never buy a fish that grows this large.
What happened to the nose? No idea. But the injury doesn't stop it from eating mbunas half its size.

I remember buying one of those decades ago. same size, around 3", and only had a 60 gallon tank. I gave it black worms, and it ate alot. fish store did not tell me how big it gets...beautiful, and cute when little, monstrous and disastrous when it got BIG :) that's a "cute" fish. :lol2:
