what kind of veggies do you feed ur cichlids

Mine mostly like fruits. But in general I feed mine cichlid pellets, grapes, romane lettuce, they love mango, dubia roaches, lunchmeat(sometimes), shredded carrots, and turtle pellets, which they like more then their cichlid food .

I would lay off the lunchmeat. Fish have a hard time digesting land meat it is usually ok when the fish are still small, but as the fish grow and become adults it can harm them in the long run. The same goes for beefheart (obivously), even though the lfs sell it, doesn't mean it is actually healthy.

i feed mine frozen peas, zucchini , spinich, carrots, cucumbers, and romane lettuce. i also feed small pieces of fruit like apple, oranges and pineapple. feeding them fruits and veggies help clean there system out.

i feed,romiane lettuce,grapes,peas,zuchinni,red peppers(bocourti loves them)even though its for my plecos,he eats it all,cantelope,carrots.

Owning Uaru's and Severums means having to keep plenty of veggies on hand. Zucchini and Cucumber of course, but lately I've been feeding the frozen cut leaf Spinach. Much easier to prepare than romaine lettuce, just cut open the bag and put some in the water. My fish seem to be able to take it much better than the lettuce, which if it's not small enough pieces they have to fight with it forever even if I blanch it.

16 oz bag of Great Value frozen cut leaf Spinach at Walmart is around $1.

I don't feed any veggies other than the content of the pellets, never had a problem. My severums eat some dwarf baby tears from a rock every now and then but the rest of the fish ignore anything green.

dont feed dogs raisins either as that will kill them faster than anything! even chocolate! but i was eating green beans the other day and my o's loved them! my albino swam around with one in his mouth for a good 10 minutes it was hilarious.

Hey man. I fèed mine blanchéd broccli & cucuber. Îf youve got a plicostamas he will lv it. only prob that i find is that when its time to cuk they makè a big mess..!
