I seldom feed my bichirs sinking pellet. I only give them sinking pellet when I don't have time (going to work early or coming back from work late) to chopped fresh meat for them. Sinking pellet tend to cloud water and left over difficult to scoop out using net. Fresh meat left over tend to float when I try to scoop them out.PoopSmart;1385090;1385090 said:Wow, this is interesting that the bichirs will sort of adapt to what type of food you feed them. I am feeding some flakes and sinking pellets to see which he prefers, but it looks like he goes for the sinking stuff.
I am going to put it with cichlids in a 125, but I think more than 1 might be too many.
I do have an XP3 and an emperor 400 on the tank as far as filtration goes.
