Milky Way Galaxy,
Hey guys i might be releasing my RTC's in my uncles 20,000 gallon pond he is in TX its a catfish fishing thing he has Channel Cats and he has a separate area where you cant fish and he promised they wont be fished out, i want to keep my RTC's very badly but it does not seem there to happy in a 12x12:( and when they big enough i dont think they'll like it, not even close to what they get in the wild... ill be sure to post pics if i do or do not release them. anyway i was thinking if i could be something dinosaur-ish cool lizard? possibly a dwarf caiman? or something? anything? all suggestions are welcomed.

why cant you keep you rtc's? that sound plenty big. i have seen rtc kept in 9x6x3. and they where fine. i guess if you have a bunch of them you woulod be in trouble, but like 1-2 would be fine. if you really want a lizard, here are some suggestions:
black and white(or black and gold) tegu
camian lizard
timor monitor
red ackie monitor
a bunch of female bearded dragons
blue tongue skinks
or even(i dunno what your budget is)
sail tailed water dragon. pm me if you got anymore q's

my budget is pretty much no more than $200, those lizards sound nice but dont most of those need mostly land ? and the keep up with RTC's and everything are really hard filteration, and feeding is taking about $50 give or take a week to feed them

i dont think an aquatic reptile would stay in one. youd need a fence.

Sounds like a great home when your snapper grows up. You could keep some native fish in it in the mean time till your snapper its big enough to be in it.
