What lone fish for 55g?

ok so i found a good deal on a 55g (only $50:D) IF i get it would get it on sunday, havnt said for sure whether im going to get it or not as im in the process of moving my 120g right now and not really sure if i will have the space for the 55 but may go ahead and get it and just store it until i find a place to set it up........ ANYWAYS what would you guys think would be a really awesome cichlid that could be kept in this tank, planning to just have one large cichlid in there and MAYBE dithers, was thinking of maybe a male GT or an EBJD but want to hear other suggestions about what could be kept in there to give me ideas to decide whether to get the tank or not:nilly:

I think Ebjds look lovley but i wouldn't want one as a solo wet pet because they are very shy and lack the character of a normal JD.

I think a Green Terror, normal JD or something of similar size would work out well :)
 
Agree with above, but I wouldnt go with a JD at all.

What's the width of the tank? Maybe a RTM or Istlanum? GT would be a good choice tho.

im not really sure of the width i think its just standard 55g so not sure what those dimensions are i think 55g are 48in long but not sure about the width or height, hmmmmm the possibilities lol i dunno i gota see where im going to move my 120 to and then that will determine whether i have a place for the 55 or not, but yeah i think i would go with a male GT they are gorgeous and dont really know much about the motas but wont one get to big for 55?
 
Standard 55's are about a foot wide.
 
Ah, ok, think RTMs get to 12", same with Istlanum...might be a bit too much of a squeeze. GT a good choice tho!!! Alternatively a Salvini, but GTs tend to have more wet-pet characteristics.
