What makes a FH?

I have been looking all over the place for information, and I can't find anything other than back and forth information..


So, I want to know..

What fish combinations make FH?

I found a Japanese poster online with what makes them, but I can't read it!

Trimac, Midas, Blood Parrot, and several other fish. Also depends on the breed.

What do you mean, depends on the breed? Breed of FH I am assuming..

I just want to know the general of taking the 2 non FH fish, and getting a FH.

The rest I can ask when/if I get to that part.

Certain breeds have other fish in them, like some Kamfa have Cuban. Kamfa general have more in them that ZZ. ZZ is heavey Trimac, Midas, and some other, Kamfa is that plus more. Etc

Okay, so I want to TRY to make my own FH's. I've never bred before, unless you count JD's, and it was all them. haha.

Here's what I have as far as stock: All are from Reputable breeders.

F Cuban
M Midas (true)
Midas (true) unsure of sex
F RTM
M Festae
M FH
M and F Carpintis
M Amph Sagittae (all black with black bars)
M Amph Sagittae (yellow)
M Barred Midas
F Barred Midas
M and F Xilo


Think I have a chance in making anything? Or do I need to add anything to my stock? I was going to add Red Parrots, and I know a shop that has real reds that have normal mouths, but they are expensive.

Wouldn't mind seeing Midas x Cuban, or Midas x Carpintis if you male has a big nuchal hump.

If it doesn't have Trimac in it then it can't be a flowerhorn because that is the most basic element. So I would start with the flowerhorn and go from there.

I have so many, I can't list them all in my head. haha.

I also have a male Jag, but don't think he could be included in that. haha.

I am going to try to make RT's and SRT's as well. Or just some awesome pearly Midas!

Pearly Midas would be cool. If you want anything interesting stick with FH, Midas, Carpintis, and Cuban.

Midas x Carpintis = F1
F1 (pearly midas) x Carpintis = F2
F2 would be much fartger than most home projects get, most stop after F1.

My fiance is building me a rack system of about 15 30 gallons, and I have a few larger tanks just for my breeding ideas.

He thinks I am crazy, but then after about a week of me yapping about it he gets into it too! I love it!
