what monsters should i buy???

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a 90. I used to keep Malawi Africans in it. Tried EBJDs for awhile. For the past year, it has had my Flowerhorn in it by himself.

You can kept a few of just about any African cichlid in a 90. You can try SA/CA cichlids, but they get much bigger.

i would put 2 delhezi bichirs, a red wolf fish and a Jardini arowana. my dream tank. for the people that think the red wolf is too aggresive, they aren't what u think. I have seen and experienced a large red wolf with bichirs half the size as tankmates.

good luck.

sounds like a nightmare tank if itsa a 90

I think brians fh tank looks good... try a fh, red texas pair, haitian cichlid, or red wolf, maybe even a lunfish... obviously not ALL of these but one... makes cleaning easier and don't have to worry about aggression

I would avoid pairs, single fish will give you smaller territories and less aggression. As someone said earlier the trick is to grow them up together from young.

I had two dempseys a green terror and an oscar together in a 75 gallon that grew up together from young and there was no fighting till the dempseys laid eggs and took over!

Now I have the dempseys in the 75 alone with 6 convicts and the rest are in a 125 with 3 Jags (trying to get a pair). My Oscar is running the show in the 125 beleive it or not I'm sure that will change when the jags grow or pair up...

You should start small and woek your way up a 90 isn't really a monster tank. But if you want oscars get a couple of little ones and grow them up. Is this your only or first tank because if it is and you put 2 big oscars or any larger fish in that tank it will not cycle fast enough to keep up with the fish waste. Besides that watching your fish grow up is half the fun

agree! defo grow from young, its the only way!
