What new Canister Filter to Buy??

My experience with the Magnum, albeit the smaller series, you'd be better off with the Eheim classic...That's the filter I would use on my bigger tanks. The Magnum has a cool water polishing filter, but you can only use that OR the regular filter?! WTF?!

Don't cheap out on filtration IMO.

magnum over xp3...lol do it.... that's the dumbest thing i ever heard... why is xp3 ur last thought? it should be first... eheim has the name and heck thats why i want one for my new tank but xp3, for the money and performance kills all.. do what u want though.

Or get one of the knockoffs. I've had Catalinas for years ($50 each) and just got 2 Odysseas ($58 each total). I'm kinda' tired of the "you get what you pay for" statement because I've had such excellent luck with knock-offs and really rotten luck with Marinelands.
