What Offends You?

Narrow-minded, unintelligent people who ignore all of those real problems to complain about how offended they are by “political correctness” offend the hell out of me. So does your confederate flag (rag).

Interesting list. I agree with some of those. What actions do you take to combat the list of social issues that upsets you ?

Mostly... I try to point them out to other people when I notice them occurring as I go about my life. Sometimes I have very meaningful discussions with people that don’t agree with me, and we both learn something. And sometimes I’m super tongue in cheek and a little confrontational... if nothing else, just to prove how easily offended the people who claim to be the hardest to offend really are. All it took was a little ripple in the prevailing sentiment to make offense, even though the thread is literally called “what offends you?” Just a fun little thought experiment. I do really believe all those things, but it’s hard to give a clear picture of anybody’s beliefs in just some bulletpoints isn’t it?

I think talking about the problems we perceive in the world is one of the most important things we can do. It’s easy to change society for the better when you realize that society is just made up of people, and that nobody has a bigger or smaller part.
