I've noticed my Female Jag and Salvini fin slapping before but when I got back from work yesterday I noticed that the female Jag had laid about 500 eggs with the Salvini fanning them, now I've always thought the Sal was female but maybe I'm wrong, let me know what you think is going on here!!!

Making babies! Salvini's will breed with anything I have come to notice.
 
Isn't the Sal female though?? The eggs are still looking yellow after at least 24 hours...
 
Yup, appears to be a female sal.
 
are you sure the jag is a female? because the sal looks to be very female.

Anybody ever see a jag./sal hybrid before? I want to see some pics!
 
Well there is that many eggs and they are big I can't see them fitting in the Sal, I'm pretty sure they are both female.
 
Real strange, I've just checked again and there are a few white eggs but only 5 or so whereas the others are still a nice beige indicating they are fertilized, I'm really confused now :confused:
