I was doing some cleaning and trimming plants. I was putting some trimming on top of the tank. Then my severum jumps out and nips my finger out of no where. It made my jump then laugh.

Any one have any funny stories about your fish making you jump? Or scared you in another way?

My GTs do that all the time. It is most funny when they do it to my wife :) makes her scream.

Funniest for me is my Blood Parrot that wants to be petted before feeding.

my male hrp nipped me pretty good around breeding time and i almost broke the front glass by ripping back my elbow i was ready for that at all lol startling for sure

its funny because I love Flowerhorns for this very reason....My Flowerhorns will hit a Ping Pong Ball out of the tank to play a sort of Aqua Catch with me....when I put my hand in their tank if its a closed fist they don't mess with me.....but if i have an open hand they are biting me and making me bleed....

one time i had some firend over and i show them my big fire eel i had one of them try and feed him it scared her and him water got all over the place. lol :D

my guppies i was trying to get some alge off they all swarme my had then i went blurd

and my geos when i am trying to wipe the tank they nip at me

my RTCxTSN is an attention hog. one day he was at his end of the pond minding his own business. i was massing with a heater, when out of no where, he thinks i got food and shoots 9 feet across the pond in like 1 second while the depth was low in mid water change. scared the crap outta me. water went everywhere. it was cool though.

I wont put my hand in my Festae's tank, before knowing exactly where he is! At about 14'', I really dont want to get bit by him.

I had a tank full of 10"+ fossilis catfish many years ago. Always scared me doing water changes around them, at that size they could kill a person if they decided to sting.
