well, i have two stories, I was collecting the fry from my f1 convict out of my 100g, and wasn't paying attention and out of no where the male got me pretty good, and scared the crap out of me.

my other story is with my oscar who i have had for 2 years, and my girlfriend always tries petting him, well i was doing water changes and was moving rocks and driftwood around and he must have been grouchy that day because he bit the side of my hand, i don't think there was blood.

Now i am just waiting for my red devil stories.

i have a red devil and if you put ur nose on the glass she will full on carge you
my lil sis found that out the hard way lol so funny

I've had several fish that I had to watch out for over the years. But the one I was most scared of was my 13" flowerhorn I had in 2003.

He was in a growout tank,55 gal, while I was in korea for 7 months. When I came back he was an absolute moster. I traded him shortly after i got back but before I did He got me on the back of my arm just in the super soft arm pit area as i was cleaning his gravel pile. I thought he would never let go. He was accually doing a death roll with my skin in his mouth, water was splashing, cuse words and tears were flying. I never stuck my hands anywhere near him again.

Big male midas's are my second most feared fish just to add on though.

I was changing the water in my RD's tank and got distracted by the TV, he came up and bit me on the hand. I jumped, dropped the gravel vac and screamed like a girl. It was very funny and the kids had a good laugh. it scared me more than hurt but he left a mark. I scared him too because he went under his root for the rest of the WC.

my redtail once decide he wanted a piece of my finger was tringing to clean behind my stacked slate cave with my hand

Sounds like the Midas are the ones that win worst bite. taking a bite and Not letting go would really freak me out. These are some funny stories thanks for shareing everyone. Any more?

Theh only fish that ever had me a little scared was my school of 6 piranhas. Everytime I did my w/c's I was a little nerveous when my hand would enter the tank............

I reached in the back of the filter to change my filter pad before, and felt my slimey fire eel in the bottom of the filter. It made me jump, I forgot all about him since he would hide all the time anyhow.
I also had a large needle fish grab a hold of my finger when I was putting the syphon in the tank. I probably have more stories..just can't think of them.

My 9 inch male Trimac is a meanie now! I got him a girlfriend and now he thinks if he sees me I'm going to try to "make a move" on her. :naughty:

He's tried biting me over a dozen times and rams into the glass when he sees me comes within an inch of the tank.

Now I Just hold the gravel-vac into the water without putting my hand into the tank. :grinno:

Is there anyways to break his habit ? :mwave:

After keeping flowerhorn, i wanted a most aggressive solitary fish. After I have done some research I bought a wolf fish from NJ. Every night between 12PM and 4AM the wolf fish jumps and kicks my aquarium hood. It was the worst nightmare i've ever had.
