Male BP tubes are actually very skinny and pointy, looks as if you are looking at the tip of a toothpick.

Thanks for the picture reference, the female above WILL have that tube of your 2nd pic when she's about to lay. I am not going to admit I am wrong, because I am not. The first picture bp is actually the one with shemale looking tube. If I was to sex that one as well, it'd be a female also, but just sterile hence she never drops her tube fully and/or lays eggs. OR better yet, the 1st and 2nd pic might actually be the same fish, and a female. I see that GT in both pics and to me, looks like a same fish but I could be wrong and to prove so, take the entire tank shot so you can prove me that there's more than 1 parrot in your tank.

I will ask my buddy with multiple parrots to take some pics for you so I can show you what I mean.

I found this picture as a reference to prove myself.

From you guys point of view, look.......wtf? a male with a crap load of eggs?:nilly: My proof has been already made, and you gatta understand I NEVER just jump the fence and just post away with ignorance.

Trust me bro, I have many parrots. I am not trying to make you look dumb, just letting you know, you are wrong. (not that right and wrong is end all) I have a ton of BP's, and am an avid member of Dasarabs BP forum, you should check it out. And do not accuse me of lying, or being petty enough, to post lies, just to be right...:grinno:

My wife names ALL of my fish...Fish one was "Ghost"..Fish 2 was "JB"

JB is in tank 1, Ghost is at the top right of tank 2, with tank one and JB visible in the background. Nice eye on the Texas' though, one is male, one is female. You saw the top fin of a female with ghost.

That fish proves nothing, and has nothing to do with anything that is being discussed...My proof is in my tanks, not on the net...

Thanks for showing pics to prove that you have more than one parrot, it rules out my wild and daring guess#2.

Why doesn't this picture don't prove anything? Just because it isn't MY picture/fish?
Ok, forget about proving. Without looking at the obvious eggs, guess the sex on this parrot..................I am guarantee all of the people will jump the bandwagon and say a male!

I do understand where you are coming from, but I sure have many strong points to make/prove also. But apparantly none of that isn't a proof for you because I don't own any of them ugly BPs to take my own pics and prove you. No offense to BP owners, but they are just not my cup of tea for keeping, or breeding even more.

I guess the owner will find out the sex and tell us since if it is a female she will lay or obviously drop her tube fully sooner or no later than 2 months from now.

Well, either way I am done in this topic NOT because I feel like I am wrong(I am still 100% right), because I have better things to do than arguing about BPs.....we aren't even talking about a lowgrade FH here, it's a stupid BP for gods sake:screwy:

 Well put, and I can accept that.. No I was not dis crediting you because you did not have them, but just comparing on line knowledge to first hand. I do keep, and do breed parrots, and have a lot of respect for them over all.

OP's fish looks female to me. But time will tell I guess.
