 thats funny. im sorry man. i just like this discussion and i want to explore different options.
ok, well i can give you plenty of ideas. i don't think many more of them will be as good as the ones i have said already

how about breeding knife fish

breed snails. theyre effortless. you could throw a few in the tank with whatever else you're breeding and you may have a good size colony depending upon what their tankmates are

but would a lfs really buy a bunch of snails?

ok here is an idea i just thought of, tell me wat u think.

do u know about those melanistic mosquito fish in florida? they are white with black splotches all over. they are pretty rare, but i found them in a pond on my grandparents property down there. do u think if i brought them up there, breed them with the cold water mosquito fish up there, then breed them like crazy with ur outdoor pond idea, that i could then go and sell them to garden&pond centers as ornamental mosquito fish and make some big money?

idk if that would work tho

its a cool idea just for fun, but realistically, mosquito fish are not far off from feeders. i just don't see making much money from them. i still think you should get some killi eggs and hatch em. you could use the pond as growout.

could the killis live out in the ponds ok?

so out off all the ideas we have talked about, u think the killis are the best option?

i would definately go killis, the 10g would work great as a breeding tank and the 18g would grow out fry to saleable size
does your lfs have killifish? i know the only ones we get around here are golden wonders, which are cool but not that high quality
i had a trio of golden wonders that never bred and eventually the male jumped out and one of the females got killed and i only have one left
i decided golden wonders were just too agressive, and i was going to give up killis, but at petsmart i was looking at the golden wonders and i saw a striped one ended up buying it and coming back to find another which i bought
i have never seen any others but now i have a male/female pair of these beautiful killies which are now in a community tank, but i hope to breed them eventually
so the main point is i got a pair of killis for $3.99 a piece, that will hopefully bring in 100's of dollars worth of fry

first two are of the male last is the female
