What should I do with my 1 Gallon?

i wouldnt even like housing a betta in there i really never understood why they make tanks that small, maybe a daphnia culture like loki said
and dont feel bad about taking their life or anything its just the natural cycle of things. in my opinion its just two living organisms living out their purpose in life :/ big fish eat little fish bigger fish eat big fish and so on..... just scary nature
