what should I do?

Sorry to hear about your Dempseys affliction. So common nowadays to bring home a Dempesy that might not pan out. This used to be such a super hardy fish to keep. I new a dude who kept two males together for years and fed them nothing but bread. They had the most striking blue coloration throughout their entire body. They were indestructable. I believe the species has been tired out due to inbreeding to gain the result of the electric blue strain. Hybridization has doomed this hobby. Good luck Monsta!

Thanks man, and you know what's ironic? I actually have an electric blue jack along with my Regular Jack dempsey and the ebjd is in much better shape lol.
I think my guy will make it though :)

I have not noticed any progress with my Jack Dempsey. He wont eat the peas even after they have been soaked in a garlic, and he has learned a new trick, barrel rolls :/ he does one about every half hour

Almost sounds like a neurological issue, any sign of him hitting his head on something before or after you got him? Is he still bloated up or just doing rolls now?

Since the bloat went down is he eating ok?

I haven't been able to get him to eat well. He never touched his peas. and I put food in the tank last night and he didn't even eat it till this morning. and thats the only thing he actually ate in the past 2 days now

I still haven't noticed improvement with anything I have done. Is there anything else I can do?
