Have both, if i had to go with one, i'd go with the Xbox 360. As mentioned, the red ring of death was a problem because they rushed the original consoles to beat out their competitors. It's basically a non issue unless you have it in a cubby or your house is hot (when it gets 100 here, i can't play mine).

Xbox has a much bigger video game library.

netflix is only for movies that you can "instantly watch now", the same exact ones that area already available on your computer. Meaning, you don't have the full library section and rarely are their new releases and when they are...they've been out on video 45+ days already. however, it is great for TV episodes. Also, movies on netflix come and go as you please. you might watch something and go to watch it again or finish it 2 days later and it's no longer available to view.

honestly, you can't lose with either one so happy gamin

Thats funny because I have been watching The Office on Netflix all morning and afternoon.

I watch netflix on my wii and yeah it's mostly tv episodes too. Southpark, Bones, The office, etc etc. Good stuff. Cheaper then dropping 20-40 bucks a season on the dvd or 5 bucks for each disc only containing so many episodes when you rent.

I know, I stopped buying dvds ever since I got Netflix back in '08 except for the occasional one I have to have like the Simpsons

PS3! :headbang2 I have one and i have never regretted getting one.

I prefer xbox's online community better, and if your concerned about paying for live they are always offering sales/discounts. Just saw today 40% off 12 months of live for only $39.99. Which is 3 dollars and change a month. Not bad considering how much I used it.

Based on your other thread you probably should look at getting either one of the two?

Ok lets get this straight, IF you get a new Xbox, not a used one but a NEW one it has a significantly less chance of Red Rings. Plus they have fixed the problem with the new model. It only happens when idiots put it in a cubby and it overheats because of poor circulation. I have had 2 PS3s break on me before my Xbox did. I have never had a Red Ring, only disc drive failure but that was after me constantly using it for 3 years. Xbox has better online interactions but you have to pay for it. I hated playing online on my PS3 because it was always laggy and you couldn't really talk or play with friends. Blu-rays nice but nothing significant.

It all comes down to if you want to play more single player or online game/interactions. If you want the single player experience go with PS3 and if you want the online experience go with Xbox.

i've never owned an Xbox so I can't say, but I can talk and play with friends fine on the PS3.

i love my PS3 and would recommend it.

but I'd say to studd muffin, if you already own a ton of xbox games and all your friends have it and few have PS3, I think thats a no brainer

but if you get a ps3, make sure you get World at War so we can play :naughty:
