I thought this was monster FISH keepers not monster TANK keepers.

I'm with you. This is about monster fish they don't really need big tanks. It's cool. Lets all just buy some arowanas and Pacus and put them in a 20 long. That will do the trick.

atleast put them in a 55 or 75
that will last them all of a year for the arro and a month or two for the pacu

A $3,000 55g isn't a monster cassharper, it's a money pit! :nilly::lol2:

Money pit it a matter of discrepancy. I consider mine a living piece of art, I also consider a good majority of the tanks on here to be bare-bottomed glass boxes full of water with some fish that will probably outgrow it.

I've paid back a fair share of my tank selling off pictures for websites and photocontests and by having it put in publications.

Money pit? ok.

I'm also glad to see you can look past your cute little joke and see the point I was getting at.

We can make lots of people happy by saying anything 200g & up is a monster tank. But then what can be said for jamey0615? Surely you recognise tanks on that scale dwarf a 500g tank. I think you guys just don't like not being in the club as if that somehow devalues the size & work of your own giant tank. It doesn't.

As for a 55gal... don't get too sensitive on me. It was a joke. But it's still NOT a monster by any stretch. We're talking size here not money spent. So even though yours is very small in this company I'm sure you know how to use it very well. But it's not a monster, even on a good day.

and I was only implying it was about attitude and not physical dimensions, but I guess that is lost on some.

You have to first define what Monster means. It means something different to everyone. And that's ok. No matter tank size we're all here for the same reason.
