What size was your first REAL tank?

A rimless 90G and a bowfront 72G purchased within a week of another.

Everyone told me to get the biggest tank you can afford. I really wanted a 72G bowfront but with filter and lights I would be looking to pay way past my $1k budget.

A local high end shop was closing down and had a rimless 90G with filters and high end lighting for $500. Regular was $2500.

A week later I went to my local petsmart to pick up brine shrimp. They were selling off there large tanks (weren't gonna carry nothing larger than 55) so they reduced the 72g from $800 to $200. Picked it up the same night.

I was shocked when I had to pickup a 30G hospital tank for $200 a few months later.
