what species is this little guy.?

Its probably my camera phone washing him out. The last pic was a week or so ago he has lightend up. He has red on his fin and along his back but he is so hard to photograph. Whenever I get out my DSLR he disappears. Come to think of it they had a tank labelled Channa true blue with nothing in. They were charging 40 for those paid 29 for him because they didn't know wat he was. He looked black in e tank when I purchased him.

Right ive taken some pics with my dslr. He does have a teeny bit of red under his eye. Will upload them once they are on my tablet .

it's a white trim on the fin rather than the "red fin" trim.

this is a true blue, not red fin imo

My initial thought was Sp. Redfin, but the lack of red on the fin made me hold my tongue. The OP said that it does have red on the dorsal; I'm not sure if the camera is not picking it up or what. You may be right though.

The red was more prominent when I first got him. And the blue was faded but now he has lightend up the red on his back seems to have faded. Guess will have to wait untill he matures to see exactly what his colours will be like? They do seem to change daily.
