Indian Ornamental Tarantula (Poecilotheria regalis)
A pretty spider from India.
If you have this spider... don't touch it. You'll regret it. Their vemon is medically significant. I have a few of em' and I will never handle these tarantulas.

i want that type of trantula i think there so cool with that color oh and i agree with softturtle
Did you buy this as regalis or the more expensive species (miranda, metallica....)?

I agree venom could cause neurological problems, and respiratory depression.
These guys are fast and tend to go up, BE CAREFUL!!!

I know what species of tarantula that is. Its called an Indian Ornemental Tarantula. Its considered one of the most beautiful tarantulas on the market. If you don't believe me check out Tarantulas.com for yourself.

Yes it is a P.Regalis. The venom on this particular genus of spider is quite strong. You can have symptoms ( muscle cramping or siezing ) for up to 1.5 years on and off. I am a T breeder and have many species and have bred this particular T. I currently have 12 of these P.Regalis as I need a new male so I kept a gang from my last breeding. I have a friend who lost their P.Regalis in their room but soon found it. She saw the T in a corner on a wall and trapped it with a fish net....well the T felt threatened and it bit the net and the venom shot on the material of the net and slowly burn holes in the material
...this is not a joke as I saw the net myself. I have read bite reports on this species and multiple people said that it started with a burning feeling from the wound traveling up their arm. But I still love thaem anyways
