:WHOA:

spose it wouldnt make a good first T. just wondering (not that i'd do it personally, cause they'd still be dangerous anyway so whats the point) but can you get the venom "removed" like you "can" with snakes

Never heard of removing venom, I'm 99.9% sure that it is not possible.
I actually have assisted a vet in a tarantula surgery (unsucessful) and I can't possibly imagine a way that tarantula physiology would permit it.
Plus, they need that venom to hunt and digest food.

you definitely can't de-venom a T ("should" is more appropriate though), as their venom is their only way of killing and breaking down their food. and most of them aren't prone to trying to bite without being provoked thouroughly, let alone having potent venom in the first place.

 I know what species of tarantula that is. Its called an Indian Ornemental Tarantula. Its considered one of the most beautiful tarantulas on the market. If you don't believe me check out Tarantulas.com for yourself. :shark:

The new Holy Grail of tarantulas- poecilotheria metallica

Google it and see what it looks like.

You have got to see one in the threat display. Bright blue and yellow. And the biggest ones I have seen, were the bluest ones.
