What Syno is this?

i agree. judging by the patterns and fins and what is readily available i'd say it's probably a s. eupterus. it may be lighter colored because of where it came from, what it was eating, or just plane genetics. but nice cat either way, good luck with it

He has darkened, which makes me think he's an eruptus. But hey i got him for free and he is a great looking fish and i needed a new one any way.

I already got 5 Eruptus from 4"-8" in another tank and they are much darker, than this syno. I just saw him this morning with it's fin up swimming around and it's colouration is the same.

5 eupterus's in one tank? They really dont get along with each other especially when they get bigger.

really, this just seems crazy to me. Even when I see them in the LFS at 2 inches all in one tank there is always 2-3 of them that are attacking the others non-stop. What size tank are they in, are you sure they are Eupterus's?

Definately, it's a 6x2x2, and there is some agression but they still share the biggest piece of bogwood.
