Any body care to share their set up equipment. i am currently trying to price out equipment and i want something reliable that isnt made of gold HAHA also sump pics wouldnt hurt.

That's what I am looking at. so I am going to have small drains as well... But thats alright ill make it work with the dual drains i think ill be able to get the flow rate im looking for anyway.
Becarful with that. You don't want anymore then your e drain can handle which will be about 1200gph total. That's why I want 1.5" and 1". 1.5 "would be the e drain.

now see I am lost at the E drains. Do the marine lands come pre drilled for the E drains? because an E drain is a separate drain for emergencies right. and at 1 inch wouldnt they only be 600 GPH per pipe

Well you can run it as stock which is a durso setup. It's reliable and you don' need an e drain it'd be nice but they run pretty flawlessly. The durso can handle 1200gph. This is loud. With this there are 2 drilled holes inside your weir 1 drain 1 return. I just converted to a full siphon setup where the return is over the back of the tank. Both holes are used as drains, 1 siphon 1 emergancy. This is dead silent. With the siphon a 1" pipe can handle close to 2000gph but your e drain will still only be able to handle 600gph/edrain which is 2 so 1200gph. Now you can run 4000gph in a full siphon 1" setup. Problem 1 gets clogged/blocked you can handle 1200gph of that where does the other 800gph go?

Okay, i understand what your saying just a heard time visualizing it. Do you have any pics of the back of your tank and sump so i can visualize this easier?

Yeah, I believe it is, do you think i should size the pump smaller? I'd like to get 8-10 turnovers per hour.
