It getting put in a climate control building with pond heaters to keep them at right temp .i live in hot summer months and cold winter months . I'm gonna building my own filtration system aeration hide spots eventually go bigger but right now I'm at stage one and yea I want keep fish around same size cuz I don't want see one eat one

Oh I had the wrong idea. I thought you had like a long stretched out oval pool and it was 42 inches wide and 15 feet long. My bad.

Then I think the next question is what do you like? What kind of fish piques your fancy?

Outside of gar and airopaima you could have almost anything in that.

I love pacus personally so I’d have them for sure. You want to keep them in an aquarium as long as possible though to experience their personality and temperament. They are such characters.

The biggest thing is what do you personally like and maybe start with that. Do you want ravenous feeders that hit hard- chichlas. Do you want something that will eat anything and everything and grow rediculously fast- rtc do you want the coolest looking cats in the world- tsn, or tigrinis
Do you want a veggie eating puppy- pacu. Lots of different options. If you time it right you might be able to do a bunch of these.

It thinking one rtc one tsn maybe an arowana. I'm debating with the pacu cuz there known to nip the fins of the other fish and I don't want that but maybe I'll get another pool pond and keep them in that one

Highfin paroon sharks are very active and literally look like sharks from above, I would only do active species....

Cool. Post pics once you get it going. Keep us updated. Will be cool project. Maybe even look through the diy section of the forum to help out with filtration needs and whatnot.

Maybe a few hampala barbs for good measure;-)
