I ran across these pictures on a thai fishing website. The girl that posted it just said :grinno:

What is this beautiful creature!?!?!
Its most definatley a featherback, but as far as I can find there aren't any notopterus or chitala speices with this pattern. But this is such a beautiful fish.... do any of you have any idea what it could be?

maybe and elegant mixed with something else? i would think with alot of cross breeding different species of featherbacks you could get this...looks like the pattern on a giraffe...so maybe google giraffe featherback? no clue though really.

great find either way..let me know when u find one for 10 bucks lol
 
im thinking its a rare knife from africa i think its called like chain knife or something is super aggressive and gets huge

its like the 6 or 7th one. If you can read thai it might shed some light if you can figure out what the thread is about, but it seems like people are just showing fish that fit some kind of criteria (striped?)... i'd like to know what the "MINI FAT RAP" is tho, thats proably important

I believe the"mini fat rap" refers to the lure "Mini Fat Rapala" that they used to catch these fishes.
