My water is old and the parameters was high then it lessened but not totally normal when I was using the old filter. I washed the new filter box and media using the water from the tank. My water right now is old water that I just cleaned on monday.

I also like bowfins but I can't find any in my country. Do you know a more common name for that?
Aba abas are so cool unfortunately mine died before and I don't have the proper tank.
Amia calva is the scientific name for the Bowfin.....the reason Im fond of them (we have them in the wild here) is from watching them move, it seems like they can move just as fast backwards as forwards by reversing their fins motions, and they are very intelligent fish.
Do you think I have space in my tank? I find them fascinating too. The problem is I can't find any in my country too.
