what to cover filter intake with?

I use wet/dry prefilter sponge and zip ties. There is no loss of flow and I only have to clean it 1 time a week.
Mag Pumps come with a black pre-filter sponge that fits perfectly over Aqua Clear 70/110 intakes. You can buy the replacment sponges alot of places or as mentioned above, pre-filter sponges. Panty hose and filter pad are my LAST resort as they restict water flow so much IMO.
