What to do w spare ten gallon?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Nothing lol. I can't think of any fish I like that would even fit. No cichlids come to mind. Maybe some shrimp and dwarf gouramis but that's about it

I know. The only thing I can come up w is maybe fry? It's a brand new tank landed on my doorstep. I'm not gonna throw it out. Lol. I was gonna breed cons for feeders etc maybe raise the fry in this tank. Any thoughts?

I use a 10 gallon as an initial growout tank for cichlids that are 0.5-1". Afterward they get moved up to a 30 gal. Prevents the tiny ones from getting dominated.

Breeding tank for Convicts cichlids (for fry); permanent hospital tank (for new/sick fish); feeder tank (rosy red/ghost shrimp, etc.); Nursery/Grow Out Tank (for newborn/juvenile fry)

Yeah I'm thinking convict fry or hospital tank. Since I don't really have one. I just wanted to know what creative things the members here could come up with. This has got to be one of the best, most knowledgeable and dedicated group of aquarists I've come across. So I always like to get opinions and input from the good folks here.

10 gallons are fun to start out small cichlids in. I have my baby jaguar in one he is only 2-3 inches.
