What to do when a vendor screws up an order....

Hmmm, silence once the deal is done, wonder where I heard that one before!! Let's see...Too busy to reply,out of town or on vacation,dropping rays off at the airport,mailbox is full, the list is endless!

The Vendor should make it right as there is no reason for that kind of mistake. I have handled my rays quite a few times out of the tank. It would take but a couple seconds to check it out before packaging. Just sold my trio of Castexi a few months back for $300 so I don't think it would be costing the Vendor too much if he made it right for you and sent you a female!

My hope is the vendor will make it right but if you got the exact ray in the picture he sent then he does have a small argument. Would be a lot worse if you got a completely different ray.

No, the vendor doesn't have any argument at all, if in fact he's actually arguing this point. A ray that is advertised as a female and arrives as a male is not the ray that was advertised, even if the picture was accurate. I would give the guy another day or two to respond with a very generous offer to resolve the situation. If he doesn't respond or doesn't present a reasonable resolution, then you should absolutely tell us who it is. A person who is selling you an extremely expensive fish isn't doing you a favor, even if he seems like a nice guy. He's making a sale, and he is ethically and legally responsible for giving you what you paid for.

if the seller has made a mistake he would want you to send back one of the males then he will send you a female

he should cover all shipping costs

that said you are prob best off selling one of the males yourself rather than ship it back then pay the vendor for another ray which he should send to you with no shipping costs

if the rays are as nice and healthy as you say then you shouldnt have any problems selling one on

Boy I hope so! Maybe after this MFK will plainly see he's just out to take everyone's money. After we get him banned we should go find him!
