$750 eh? buy a 55 gallon for a sump, and all the fixens for the sump, that'll leave you with around 600....then buy some decor, $500 left, and then go buy yourself some kick ass fish!!!!!!!!!

Haha, that is expspensive! I just sold my dirtbike, and was trying to get 1500 but ended up with 1200, but I am building a tank that is 8ft long, 3ft wide, and 2 ft tall. Thats about 359 gallons or so... I can build the tank for less that it would cost to ship a prebuild tank from glasscages.com...

Then I'm going to build a 100 gallon Wet/Dry sump out of a rubbermaid container.

The inhabitants will be 4 black arowanas and one silver arowana. The 1200 is buying everything, including fish. You need to shop around for better deals bro!
extend the width by 1ft if you're building a wood tank ,the fish will love you:D 8x4x2

no way for many reasons

1) tank is costing 800 (with stand and canopy)
2) filtration costs 500
3) decor and everything else is costing 200
4) I live in the usa

Ouch :(

For 500.00 you could have that eheim and a 100 gallon sump that would render the other two canisters virtually well.. Infact You coudl probably do that for less than 500 and add a thousand times more life to your filter :)

You see where i'm going :)

Wow dude why spend a whole lot of money on a 180 when you could have bought a 240 or a 300 gallon for less.Back here in California their was this one exotic fish store where their tanks were so cheap but durable. The cost of the 240 gallon was for $300 for the tank itself, stand, hood, lights. And about $400 for the 300 gallon.See how cheap they are.Ill go check on them again on price later in the week. And the livestocks are amazingly cheap aswell. They have fishes that are rare. They have some black arowanas but they only have 3 left in the store and hella silver arowana.Mostly all the puffers for freshwater, brackish, saltwater. And lots of cichlids like oscars,midas/rd,parrot fish, and the whole parachromis species are their too.Ryt now i only have 3 of the species in the parachromis. The managuense, motaguense, and the dovii. They have peacock bass, jardinis in different colors variations.Like the shading of black, and simple white colors on them. They have stuff you can order too.If they dont have it theyll order it just for you.The only thing that sucks is that they didnt even post a dang website.

GL sounds like a plan to me.

i think you should build a 1000 gallon DIY tank (8' x 4' x 4').
just buy 1 big sheet of acrylic, like 1" thick x 8' long x 4' tall. then just build the rest out of wood.

just sayn hello two silvers lots of red in them three clowns seven corys three synodontis one rope fish one striped raphel and questions about salt water setups?
