i gotta problem. the guy doesnt wanna sell anymore. who knows the site of a good tankbuilder, or even better, where to get a 180+ tank in the Maryland/VA/DC/ close to there area?

keep an eye on ebay! ring round local aquariums, lfs... see if anyone is planning to refit, what are they doing with old tanks? research, diy tank making, its really not that hard... but do try and find something larger than a 180 for a silver....

Glasscages is coming to baltimore mid augest and d.c. in october, you have to get your order in and paid for in full 3 weeks prior to picking it up + there's like 80.00 delivery fee but might be worth it or take a look at houseoftropicals.net for new they're in glen burnie. But neither will be cheaper than 500.00 for a 180g probably.

But a tank and make a basic stand out of wood or use cinder blocks/get glass tops/build a sump/etc. You can even find used 36" light strips to buy, etc. You have a better tank in the end if you can build a sump and get more for your money.

Used tanks that big in md/dc/va are few and far between.

ive been to house of tropicals, they r expensive, and im not going to wait till october 4 my tank.

They're coming to b-more in augest too. You'll be waiting either way as it will more than probably take you a couple weeks to find someone selling something over 180g in the area again. They don't pop up for sale often.

i agree with this guy 585 for a 240 from glass cages that's were i got mine from nice tank euro braced and it's easy to build a stand if you'r dad or dad's freinds are handy at all can get a 240 from them for 700 with the tops brand new stand 1 hundred bucks so 8 tottal sump build 3 bills so 11 hundred ighting 150 so 1250 canopie like 60 bucks 1310 in line heaters 150 1400 bigger brand new tank same price. Any ways just thinking like he said i looked on line and all around for about 6 months looking for a 180 or bigger were i live and couldn't find one reasonable so i bought mine actually from a kid in NY he devivered it to me brand new to mass for 600 a 240 from glass cages not a deal on the tank at all but i diddnt have to pay for shipping or get it my self and it's a bad sob of a tank any ways good luck either way.

Sincerly

i only want 1 fish, so he can stay in that his whole life. anyway, im a 13 year old kid, im not patient

Age is no reason. I'm a 14 year old kid and I'm building a tank with little no to help. You have Have the money. Do what is best for the fish, not for your self.

Search craigslist everyday. I did, landed a 210gal, w/stand ( i am rebuilding), lids, compact lights (1x- 2', 1x -4'), overflow = total $400!!!. All I have do to now is take old 45gal or find sump and put a RIO in. If you keep your eyes open you could get lucky at the local colleges when kids are moving out this summer.

Good luck and in the long run do what you want. Hell, if your like the rest of us you'll never be satisfied anyways.
