I agtree take it to a pet store. Some pet stores will take them in and either resell them or adopt them out to someone else. I know petco stores sometimes adopt out fish. I know my store does. How big is the oscar? What kind of fish does he have in with it? Why you would put an oscar in with other fish other than maybe a pleco I don't understand. They get big and would usually need the tank to themselves once they are full grown.

I think its better to kill the fish by putting it in a bucket and putting that in the freezer, or simply whacking its brains out quickly, than resigning it to a life of pathetically small enclosures (thats what'll happen if you try to give it to a pet store).

I think it depends on the LFS....if you go out of your way to take it to a place with a decent set-up, then there's nothing wrong with it. As for eating it...lol...it'd depend on the fish 
just get it a different tank.he bought ,he should have to take care of it.and also you shouldent put an oscar in a tank full of food if you dont want him to eat

Flushing "DEAD FISH"? What wrong with that the're (<-skooling) already dead? Or im i missing something on the other end? My LFS has lots of diff size tanks So if u give them a Bigger fish they will house it and sell it. He eat it? muahah Thats funny, I'm going to do that with my Channel Cat ones his big.
