No feeder gupys:grinno: Here´s some nice items to try;) Tetra reptomin, zoomeds and mazuri turt pellets(staples), chiclid pellets, bloodworms, brine shrimp. mosquito larvae. dapnia, grounded chicken and turkey, fish fillets, various sea foods into small bits, etc. Elodea should also be avaiable

Keeping baby Red Eared Sliders alive takes a lot of work. Go to www.austinturtlepage.com, which is an excellent group for turtles and look up the Care Sheet for Red Eared Sliders (in the Big Pond forum). Babies need very clean water, fairly warm temperatures, but not too hot, and an almost all protein diet. They need a basking spot out of the water, and a UV and heat bulb. Once they are a year old they start eating more vegetables. Adult RES's eat mostly vegetables, and just a little animal protein. Please don't give them white rice.

The problem is that they are sold really young and mostly in poor condicion. Well cared for yearlings are nearly bullet prof and a much better investiment;)

They are a little fragile when young, though with the right setup, they aren't that hard to keep. When I got my yellow belly, I also got another slider. It was labeled as a RES, but I think it was either a pastel or a different species, but for some reason, it didn't make it. I did successfully raise the YBS and cooter from tiny hatchlings though, and they are pretty much indestructible at this point (they are 5 and 6 years old respectively).
