I have done research, plenty of it. Whenever I post anything on this site, its either, you're doing this wrong or you're overstocked or you just have to small of a tank. All of this, how many fish you can keep in a tank, etc, boils down to opinion. How is it that people are suppose to get fish like these without having to get a large tank? To some people 55g is a big tank. Maybe they dont have the room for it. And it takes a while for these fish to reach their max size. From now on, Im not going to even ask questions like this anymore.

Your suggestions for the tank arent near as far-fetched as some ideas or tanks I've seen mentioned on here, but from what I've seen so far, the posters on here are just trying to help you out.

You shouldn't be afraid to ask a question, unless you are only looking for affirmations of your own beliefs.

yup :)

Honestly dude, if you want to stock the tank like that, look into adding bamboo/some other type of plants to suck up nitrates as well. I was between algae eaters and made the noob mistake of leaving my light on too often (48w on a 29g) and got a nice coat of algae on the back of the tank. This took my nitrates from 50 to 20-30 in a week. If you let the back get coated in algae it wont be the most asthetically pleasing, but I'm also hearing good things about bamboo growing with the roots/stem in the tank and leaves above eating nitrates. Do that or some java moss etc with decent lighting and it should at least help out with the water quality. Doesn't help swim space, but a step in the right direction.
