Hey, I recently bought this baby or fry Flowerhorn from Petco for $13. The color was better before they put the fish in the bag, and this picture was taken today. This is only it’s 2nd day since it was introduced to the tank. It’s a 55 gallon tank, so plenty of space for it to grow in.

So what’s type of Flowerhorn is it, it’s gender, and I didn’t measure it because I don’t want to make it scared or stressed so I didn’t bother. But I think it’s 1-2 inches.

Water temperature is around 65-75, kinda low because my heater is not working properly. But I’m planning to buy a new one that works better and I’ll probably raise the temperature to 82 F when I get a new heater.

I also think that this is a red dragon. At the LFS, the color of it was more red too. But can anyone sex it at this age? I mean I think it’s look like a male base on it’s look and behavior.

It’s color improved a lot since yesterday, this picture is 1 day after that picture above (Day 3 in tank). It like to stay near or around the new 200 watt Aqueon Heater I just bought earlier today.

probably its just feels a bit protected around the heater. more like a hiding place. mine hide behind the sponge filters sometimes if they got scared.
