Habitats:
Found throughout Florida, mostly in dry habitats, including hardwood hammocks, pinewoods, swamp edges, and suburban neighborhoods. It spends most of its time buried under loose leaf litter or logs or underground in stump holes or small burrows.
VENOMOUS
They do say the Pygmy Rattlesnake is the most commonly encountered venomous snake in urbanized areas, often in gardens or brush piles.

Huge bonus !!!! Living near actual LFS that sell fish we like. I walked into a petco the other day and was completely shocked at the stock. All sorts of cool fish

just go to a near by canal or pond! no need to pay for fish you can catch. I've caught tons of different fish they sell for aquariums.

Military teaches you to recognize difference between the Coral and King snake. Red touch yellow kill a fellow. Red touch Black friend of Jack. I personally would teach my children that simple rhyme. King Snakes are actually great to have around they will kill venomous snakes.

If we ever move I hope we’ll be closer to a good fish shop. But I can’t complain too much. Our petsmart is pretty decent with the common stuff.

We don’t even have those snakes where I live but my parents taught me that rhyme as a child. It’s very good for making a quick id.

Thanks rocky. Its like a different world compared to where we lived before. Perfect except for this snake issue. I friggin hate snakes. Only animal im kind of scared of lol

Snakes are a significant source of rodent control. I'll take snakes over mice and rats every single time. Plus, I just think snakes are super cool!

Haha.....you sound like my mother in law.She is terrified of snakes and won't step foot in my backyard because of the tiny brown snakes that live there.
