"The Cichlid Keeper" by Paul Loiselle? I'm looking at the same thing right now lol.
LOLZ, no but rather "Dr. Axlerod's Mini-Atlas, 1995"

good old axelrod i have heaps of his books

I think they might be too young/small yet ... it will depend on the spots they get ... if they are in precise rows like Adam-011's pic, then they are gymnogeo's ... if not they are one of the brazilenisis types ... hard to tell the differance between the rhabadus complex and brazils when they are young.

please excuse the spelling, it's late/early. :P

Agreeing with this, in Adam-011's thread I believe I incorrectly ID'd it as either a Brasiliensis or one of a few Gymnogeophagus, it's quite hard to tell when they're so underdeveloped.

Axelrod seems to have problems with south and central american cichlid identifications(atlas, lexicon, exotic fishes, etc.). I love axelrod, but almost every book I own by him has obviously misidentified cichlids.

My vote is Gymogeophagus. Likely, Gymno. cf. gymnogenys 'Salto'.
Here is a pic from Rapps.

i doubt that to be honest. i don't think this species above would have somehow mistakenly ended up in a random lfs somehow.
it's really hard to tell as they are in juvenile colors, but i would guess gymnogeophagus rhabdotus
