ah ok. usually never get past the first 4 letters of all these fish names. never made the clear distinction 'til now. thanks

also, does this payara look taller top to bottom vis a vis other species or is it just me?

could very well be for all we know. the thing that throws me is the teeth size... they lack the 2 very large teeth. looks very similar to cyno gibbus teeth.
