110 Gallon won't do for an adult occelaris...Search for a 110 now !!!
Yea sometime in the future he's going to be put in a bigger tank, there's no other fish that's in this tank and he has a strong current to keep him active. I plan to get something around 200-300g for him, but he seems to be doing fine for now. Also thanks for the ID, I live in south florida where we have Ocellaris in the canals and ponds I've caught a few decent size ones but some people have caught them up to 10-12lbs.Thats a standard Ocellaris, just a little darker from lighting or the black background. I assume you have a larger tank for him to be moved to in a couple inches?
I was thinking he was a mono when he was a baby, is it possible he could be a hybrid of the two?Id say thats not an ocellaris but an mono based upon the coloration the black stripe over its head and the position of the spot on the tailfin.

Thats a monoculas peacock bass theres no such thing as a standard ocellarisI have a 10" peacock in a 75 gallon and I've been trying to identify what type of peacock bass he is for a long time. I've looked at pictures online and nothing really matches and I want to know how big his type can get. Here are some pictures.View attachment 1393232View attachment 1393233View attachment 1393234
