What type of Sev is this?

The OP fish pictured is "likely" what they called when first introduced into the hobby as "Turquoise Severum", now as other posters have said it's been lumped into the H.efasciatus. The other possibility is that it's just a "hybrid" of some sort, since I had and bred some of the first imports of the TRUE TS and my body color was different then this pictured here, I will add pictures are deceiving too.

This is sort of what I was getting at in my post. The turquoise severums do show great blue-green colors, but I've never seen one with such a yellow body. I just feel like the colors in that original picture are not representative of the actual fish -- they look too vivid. I still think the color has been adjusted or they used some intense lighting.

The notatus severums do show really bright yellow and green when they're in spawning mode, but I've yet to see one with a blue face. The fish in the photo does have some notatus characteristics, like the maroon dots on the cheek rather than squiggly lines. I guess it could easily be a hybrid of a notatus and something else, because I found out firsthand that notatus and efasciatus will cross-breed and produce viable fry. I had it happen in a community tank here at the house. I didn't raise the fry because I don't want to put mutts out into the hobby...

+1, I agree the body of TS are green/blue through out and no yellow. The truth of the matter we will never know what the fish is pictured, it's just a great photograph of a severum.

Well i have seen the pics now and as i assumed, nothing like the original picture.

SO was that really worth the tantrum?

Here's a turquoise that I found has the blue face more of a yellow body but missing the green in the body.

Actually the other poster was being very mature in his responses and contributing to this thread. You on the other hand are acting out like some undisciplined child. If you have nothing else to contribute to this thread other then going after another member then please refrain from posting.

Do you speak like you type?

I just said the pic is a Photoshop, whats wrong with that?

What is wrong is people come on here to ask questions, not be attacked. As stated in previous posts, "rich_one" handled himself professionally and courteously. You have just insulted him numerous times. To rich_one...just read my sig, it will help you deal with the difficult posters. I have seen your previous posts on this forum and don't need a picture for you to prove yourself trustworthy.

I was clear in my message requesting the side banter be left out of the thread. Move on to another topic.

I never got any message, nor did anything bad other than say 'Daddy', which was not something i would of known.
