What was the wackiest thing you have ever caught?

Hello; Night fishing with lights, was casting a rattling crank bait with two treble hooks. A cast got away from me and sailed up. As I reeled it in there was an odd splashing noise and some resistance. When it got to the boat there was a brown bat on it. I released the bat, but doubt if it did well. The bat must have detected the lure in the air and tried to catch it.

In mid summer I was fishing the rockaways with a friend, and it had already been an unusual trip... I caught about 10 Lizardfish and 4-5 juvenile Rudderfish, which arent all that common around here. Then a Seagull dove on my baitfish mid-cast and got hooked on the inseam. I fought it for a while, it'd try to fly away and then get stopped by the line and fall to the water. It ran up on land, so I jumped from the pier to the beach and ran up to the poor guy. He started screaming at me and all of a sudden there were dozens of Seagulls circling overhead. It was crazy. I grabbed him (at around the same time as he grabbed me, I had a nice V-shaped beak mark from him) and gently worked the hook loose. Then I tossed him into the air and he flew away.
Seagulls get hooked all the time... it's the second time it's happened to me... unfortunately the first one I hooked broke me off and flew away with a sabiki rig and a 2 oz sinker in him :(
I read on a local fishing forum something about a guy who was filleting a chopper Bluefish and found a Gull foot in its stomach. Jeez...

Not too sure if anyone has caught this before, we've seagulls snatching our baits on top waters. Seagulls was not what we caught, we caught an owl as it landed on our surf rods, if that is ever considered whacky. Cheers

One time I caught my brothers sunglasses out of a lake in the spring that he dropped in the lake in the fall. This was in Minnesota so the sunglasses actually moved from about 2ft off the dock to about 20ft over the winter. After I caught them he put them back on!

Nice catch Luther, your casting is good. Fish on!
