first fish i personally owned all by myself was a fantail goldfish i bought from petco, i had to finish my homework to get it

My first fish was a goldfish from the fair. Then it went to white clouds, and continued to move uphill.
me and my brother had a couple a goldfish. his died first, and then mine. then we got bettas. then we moved to lizards, and now we have fish again, only more advanced
My first ever fish was Cichlasoma Bocourti. Weren't really mine. the pair was my dads but I took care of the tank when I was 6 years old ( well helped at least). They just died last december and were 14 years old. They had lived in 180 gallon tank and bred quite frequently for 10 or so years. I still have the Beani I grew up with as I am 16 and he is 14 but will be turning 15 this december!!! The first fish I have ever bought was Black Neon tetras for a 10 gallon tank.
