What was your first fish?

Not counting what my parents used to have when I was little (they had a LFS) My first fish was a trio or RBPs that my mom got my for Xmas. three months later I bought a 125gallon tank set it up and added 10 more RBPs. then it all went downhill from there.
Red oscar, lasted 2 years until it died due too my dad killing it. Now ive slowed down to discus.
mine was a cheapo feeder fish that my dad got me for a small 10 gallon tank that my cousins gave me. After that died, my dad started help me build a starter community setup with platties, sword tails, and a pleco.
I forget which was my first, when I was 5 I lived near a stream (still do) where I caught crayfish, guppies, mollies, and plecos. My first cichlid was a female convict that I caught with a net in the stream, she lived to a rope old age of over 4 years (in the aquarium), but then a pleco ate her

It was soooo long ago. I had a few swordtails. That was like 30 years ago lol. I remember them though. They didn't live very long.
i've always had fish in one way or another; whether it be parents or people i was staying with. the first i can remember were angels when i was wee little that were my dad's. my first fish was probably a gold fish or two, first trops were tiger barbs, cherry barbs and a cory. my first monsters were a jaguar cichlid and a jack dempsey.
Mine was an oscar, he was so cool, i forgot his name lol, he died from me not doing water changes, i think i did it twice and i had him for about 4 months, btw i was 8.
