12 Blood fin Tetra, they lasted 2 months, some died from a 1200GPH power head. others were just too weak and the last survivors were eaten by my stingrays.

2 albino oscar's in a 15 gallon tank which i eventually placed in an old tub then threw them in my neighbors pond and got into a big fight because he ate all the guppies

not sure which one counts as first.
my gf's cousin stayed with us for a few months. he brought a 10g with one zebra danio in it. i sat and watched that fish be bored and lonely for almost a week. i couldnt take it anymore, so i grabbed the cousin and said lets go to the store. i told him to pick some goddamn fish for the tank. while we were there, i saw an arrowana. bought a tank, set it up, and a week later bought the arro. (didnt know about cycling). i still have that fish today.
so, i dont know which is first. his that i paid for, or draco the arro.
the scary part is, draco survived, and i bought him at about 3" with absolutely no fish experience. yay me.

gave the pacus away when they got too big, 2 columbian sharks died..

a few guppies from my uncle when i was 5. quickly turned into a tankful. first tank was slate bottom and metal frame with caulk that dried up if the tank was empty.
well besides tadpoles and crawdads we would catch in the creek as a kid id say minnows or goldfish were my first. now, the first fishtank i bought i had 2 oscars and 1 red devil.
a native gourami that we caught fishing in a stream near our home back when i was 9 years old. now im 24.
