What was your first fish?

My 1st fish was an Oscar- at 10. had him jamed in my dads 45gOct...for a couple years then Like a kid I left home at 16ys-it leaved for another 2years under my lil bro care.

When I 1st got into the hobby completely-I got a pair of Oscars as well....it was the only fish I knew how to keep...LOL
 
Columbian Cat Sharks. Two in a ten gallon.
 
Pair of convicts and a kuhli loach in a ten gallon tank. This was back when a lot of books recommended a 10 gallon for convicts lol. The kuhli loach didn't last long though...
 
Goldfish
it got real big
then my dad released it at Balboa Park in SD
at they're cement Koi pond in front of the Botanical Garden
i was at the park a lot so i would always look for him

not something i endorse or would do today this was back in the mid 70's
 
I won a gold fish in a bowl at the long island fair.. :D
 
A big fat Blue Oranda. I had it for years called buster.
That was when i relaised the fun and skill in growing a small fish into a monster. I lost him when i went away for a weekend, came back to find he passed on to the great tank in the sky. I still have a soft spot for oranda's

I followed that with Oscars in a 6' x 2' x 2' tank when i left home.
