What was your first fish?

my first fishes in my own tank was an iridescent shark in the 20 gallon tank I got on my eight birthday (I'm 25 now). It lived about two years in there, obviously stunted and all that bad stuff
Zebra danios - guy at the LFS told me to put them in my tank to cycle it - I threw them in as I filled up the water into a 30 gal hex, which had a crappy useless filter on it which only ran on carbon and a tiny sponge for BB - they lived until I got into fish keeping and put them in a larger tank along with all my other fish and they got eaten
a feeder goldfish in a bowl like how all kids start keeping fish.. then it was a betta... then I bought a 10gallon tank and put a pair of angels in the tank the first day I had water in it... and as you can guess... they died the next day cuz I had no idea about cycling the tank n all that....
I won a goldfish at a carnival. It was that game with the ping pong balls that you toss. If it lands in a jar thats the fish you win. Believe it or not I had that thing for a year. It finally died when I added another goldfish and a snail.
