What was your first monster fish?

A big breeding pair of Amphilophus Labiatum - Red Devil.
I was 12 years old back then, and a real shock to see how aggressive the male were
Since then I always have loved big aggressive fish.
(Hmm.. Thats 28 years ago..)

My first monster was a 25" silver aro. That was back in high school. It might have bigger but my Dad sold it to a LFS when i ran away to Grandpa's house.

I didn't know to much back then. I kept him the whole time i had him in a 55g.

A tiger oscar named "Happy" who was sold to me by a lfs for a 2.5g tank. By the time he outgrew a 29 and then 55g tank, so I "had" to buy the 110g - I was hooked on the hobby. That was years ago now.
